Penguins and Whale Watching from Punta Arenas
In addition, apart from the stunning, wild and dramatic scenery to be found in Patagonia there are a number of other special outdoor “active” excursions to experience, such as whale watching, seeing penguins in their natural habitat. Consequently, we can add in these activities for clients spending time in Punta Arenas.
Fast Speed Zodiac Between Puerto Natales and Torres del Paine

Navigation Grey
It has to be said that the boat trip across Grey Lake to the Glacier Grey is a great add-on to your W Trek or as a half day tour on its own. Operating from a mooring by Grey beach, which is in front of Hotel Grey, the catamaran takes (and collects) passengers to (from) Refugio Grey (so it acts like a ferry in this case) and then passes by the face of Glacier Grey before returning back to Hotel Grey. There are several departures during the day, all subject to local weather.
However, the third Navigation collects and drops passengers from /to Refugio Grey first and then goes past the glacier.
Operated between Oct. – Feb.
Subject to local weather conditions

Glacier Grey Ice Hike
For those of our clients doing the W Trek, we can add on this great activity pre or post the W. However, for logistics, you will need a night at Refugio or Camping Grey.
Check-in and the start is from a base located very close to the Refugio Grey.
Participants will be provided with all the safety gear and accompanied by a guide.
Operated between Oct. – Feb.
Subject to local weather conditions

Kayak Grey
Operating out from a base very close to Refugio and Camping Grey is the Kayak Grey. Here, participants will be able to paddle in the ice-cold, iceberg filled waters of Grey Lake and close to the Glacier. All equipment provided.
We can add this onto a W trek itinerary either as a pre or post trek activity. However, you will need to get to the Grey sector, by the Navigation Grey, or trekking from Paine Grande or arriving from Los Perros on the full Circuit trek.
Operated between Oct. – Feb.
Subject to local weather conditions.
Torres del Paine Activities:
from and to Puerto Natales

Rio Serrano Zodiac
Natales to Torres del Paine
In the event that you want something different, perhaps a little adventure and, at the same time, get yourself from Puerto Natales to Torres del Paine, then this is the way to go. Operating out from Puerto Natales is a trip that combines a navigation along the fiord in front of Puerto Natales, to the Serrano Glacier at the end. Here, passengers disembark, can walk through a native wood and see icebergs in a lagoon.
Following this activity, participants will then get into a fast-speed zodiac that travels up stream towards Torres del Paine.
The exhilaration of going fast, upriver and then seeing the incredible scenery on the way is a great way to begin your Torres del Paine adventure.
Operated between Nov. – End of Feb.
Subject to local weather conditions

Rio Serrano Zodiac
Torres del Paine to Natales
Even though you have had a great time in Torres del Paine, you will now need to get back to Puerto Natales. Here, you have two options, one is by road and the other is by fast-speed zodiac! We offer the zodiac from the Serrano village that speeds down river to where the Serrano glacier is coming down from the Souther Ice shelf and into a lagoon.
From here passengers board a catamaran for the slower navigation down the fiord to an estancia for a Patagonian barbecue, before heading back to Natales.
If you wish to extend your Torres del Paine adventure as well as get back to Puerto Natales, then this is the way to do it.
Operated between Nov. – End of Feb.
Subject to local weather conditions

Glacier Serrano
In the event that you have a free day, this full-day excursion to see Glacier Serrano is a very good option. The day begins with an early departure from the small, Bories port in Puerto Natales whereupon passengers board a catamaran. The boat then navigates along the channel for about two hours until it arrives to a small dock, close to the Serrano Glacier.
Here, passengers disembark and walk through a native wood to a lagoon where icebergs are usually floating, and the Serrano Glacier can be seen coming down from the Southern Ice shelf directly down to the water.
On the return journey passengers are treated to a Patagonian barbecue at an Estancia before eventually returning ti Natales at around 17:00hrs.
Operated between Nov. – End of Feb.
Subject to local weather conditions.
