Introduction
Australis Patagonia cruises operate two, sister ships. One is called Stella Australis, and the other is named the Ventus Australis, each with a maximum passenger capacity of 200 people. Both vessels navigating through the channels and fiords of the Patagonian southern archipelago between Chile and Argentina. As long as weather allows, the itinerary will include a shore landing on the fabled Cape Horn.
Both ships are small and therefore offer a “boutique” cruise experience. Departures are either from Punta Arenas, in southern Chile, or Ushuaia in Southern Argentina and take 4 nights and 5 days to complete their navigational itineraries. In addition, there is an option to take the start and end at the same port option, which is an 8 night and 9-day trip.
Australis Patagonia Cruise
Passengers who are lucky enough to be on board one of these ships, will be able to experience some of the most remote and pristine places on Earth. See amazing, Patagonia sights such as the glaciers coming down from their Andean peaks down to the sea, native forests where no man has set foot and, amid the geographical delight, there will be plenty of wild fauna to get close to.

Australis Patagonia cruises are an excellent way to experience something totally different. Seeing the wild and raw Patagonia landscape from the perspective of a sailor is to experience what it must have been like centuries ago when explorers, pirates and commercial tall ships passed through these exact, same channels.
Remote
An opportunity to enter into some of the remotest, quiet, natural places on Earth, get to see natural wonders like glaciers, ancient forests, penguins, sealions, maybe whales too, and a variety of birds all “just going about their business”. If you have the time and the budget, we say “do it”!
Note that we have been creating Torres del Paine W Trek itineraries and other Patagonian itineraries since 1996. We are based in Chile, English owned, and a leading receptive travel operator, covering in particular – Patagonia.
