Accommodation Along the Torres del Paine Circuit Trek Trail
Torres del Paine Circuit Trek accommodation comprises a mix of serviced camping and refugios.
The actual trail will involve nightly stop offs at these places, in this sequence: Seron, Dickson, Perros, Grey, Paine Grande, Cuernos or Frances, Chileno or Central.
Important to note is that here at Experience Chile we only offer an all-inclusive Circuit Trek itinerary, and this comes with accommodation, meals, transport and park entry tickets all included. In terms of accommodation, it will include either refugios or serviced camping (depending on availability or your preference), but where there is premium camping available, the camping will be premium camping.

Accommodation Definitions
Along the Circuit Trek Trail
Refugio
What is a Refugio?
A refugio is a hostel with dorm rooms filled with bunk beds. Guests mingle in the common dining room and in larger refugios in the lounge areas. In some refugios there are bars. All refugios have communal shower and WC units, segregated by gender.
Refugios on the Circuit trek trail are at Dickson, Grey, Paine Grande, Frances, Cuernos and Central.
Domes
What is a Dome?
A dome is, effectively, a refugio with dorm rooms. However, the shape and form of the dorm room is under a dome roof. Along the trail there is only one place offering dome accommodation, and this is at Frances. The domes here offer bunk beds with partitions to offer a certain amount of privacy. Also, because the dome ceiling is high, there is better circulation of air.
Each dome has its own shower and WC unit. Meals are taken in a communal dining unit. Also at Frances is Premium Camping.
Premium Camping
Premium Camping – What is It?
Some of the circuit and W Trek nightly stop offs now have Premium Camping. These tents are of superior level as well as being pitched on top of platforms that are high up off the ground. This extra height allows for animals to pass underneath as well as keep the occupants off the colder, ground level. Experience Chile only offers Premium Camping (and not any other type of camping) at: Seron, Chileno, Central, Cuernos and Frances.
Private Cabin
Cabin Description
The cabins along the trail are small, two-man capacity A-framed “tiny houses”, or huts.
There is only one place where there are cabins and that is at Cuernos. The cabins here have a small, log-burning stove and an exterior deck balcony.
Meals are taken in the nearby refugio. There is also a separate communal, but gender segregated shower and WC unit for occupants of the cabins.
Hotel
Hotel Explanation
There is only one hotel on the trail, called Hotel Las Torres. It is actually at the trail head that leads up to the Torres Base. Most people know what a hotel is, but to be specific, a hotel offers a private room with its own en-suite bathroom. For comfort and privacy, a hotel is the way to go in the area around the Welcome Centre. Other options here are Refugio Central and Premium Camping.
Standard Camping
What is Standard Camping?
Standard camping is the normal “traditional” camping such as a tent pitched on a space at ground level. Also categorized as serviced camping, the tent comes pitched, with ground mats and sleeping bags. In places where Premium Camping is not available, we offer standard camping.
The locations where we offer standard camping are Dickson, Los Perros, Grey and Paine Grande.
