In short, here at Experience Chile, we offer a variety of Torres del Paine hotels and other accommodation options. All things considered, your choice of accommodation in Torres del Paine will have a direct impact on the overall enjoyment of your experience in Patagonia. Therefore, the final decision regarding where to stay is paramount to your itinerary.
We will showcase below all the viable accommodation options both in and around Torres del Paine.
Torres del Paine Hotels:
An Introduction
Above all, along the W Trek trail, you will have options to stay at hostels (refugios), serviced camping, luxury camping and even hotels, or a mix.
However, not on the actual trail, but within the area, you will also have other choices of conventional hotels. Most important, these offer private and en-suite bathrooms. In addition, there are the top-end luxury lodges, which, on their own, make for an enhanced and special Patagonia experience.
Wide Selection of Torres del Paine Hotels and other Accommodation
Most important is that here at Experience Chile we provide a wide selection of Torres del Paine hotels and accommodation choices in and around the National Park, as well as throughout the Patagonia region, including Puerto Natales, El Calafate, Ushuaia and Punta Arenas.
All in all, ask us about Hotel Grey, Estancia Cerro Guido, Hotel Tierra Patagonia, The Singular, Explora Lodge, Awasi Lodge, Hotel Las Torres, Eco Camp, Hotel Paine, Patagonia Camp and Hotel Rio Serrano.
Here, on this page below we will explain the following:
- ABOUT LUXURY TORRES DEL PAINE HOTELS & LODGES
- SHOW YOU ABOUT THE HOTELS IN TORRES DEL PAINE
- ABOUT THE REFUGIOS AND CAMPING OPTIONS ON THE W AND CIRCUIT TREK TRAILS

Torres del Paine Luxury Hotels
and Lodges Accommodation
It should be noted that the luxury level accommodation options in and around Torres del Paine are at a different, higher level to any other hotel in the area.
Choosing to stay at any of these hotels or lodges will give you an additional, worthwhile experience to add to the one you will have from being in Torres del Paine.
Torres del Paine Luxury Hotels
and Lodges Accommodation
Options with More Details on Each is Below
Torres del Paine Luxury Lodges
Being that none of these lodges is located on the W Trek trail, they all offer daily excursions to the W Trek. In addition, with educated guides, in nice transport and good box lunches (or a return to the lodge for lunch). Then, at the end of the day you can return to private, top-end accommodation with modern, en-suite bathrooms and great food.
If you have the budget for a four night, or longer stay, in any of the lodges mentioned here, it will be money well spent. Also, in some of these lodges there is the benefit of a spa and indoor pool too.
The Cost
Most important is to consider that the cost of staying at these top-end lodges is not low. As an illustration, you need to consider a price range of around USD6,000 and above, per person, for a four-night all-inclusive stay.
The cost varies from lodge, to lodge, and if you arrive in low, mid, high or peak season. Furthermore, the cost will vary if you stay for three nights, or longer than four nights. Given that the cost is at the high end of the scale, here at Experience Chile we WILL include an additional service free of charge in order to further help stretch your wallet. See below.
Experience Chile Offer
In addition to any offer the lodges below may be running, for any reservations that we handle, for a minimum of two people with a minimum of four nights, all-inclusive, we will include one of the following free of charge:
- Return flights from / to Santiago
- Private transfer to somewhere like El Calafate
- A hotel night or two somewhere else in Chile or Argentina.
But please note that we will decide which of these is most suitable to offer you depending on the itinerary you have or need.
The Lodges
Tierra Patagonia, Explora Salto Chico, Awasi Patagonia, Singular Hotel in Puerto Natales and Remota Hotel in Puerto Natales.

Awasi Lodge Guest Suite Torres del Paine
An Awasi Torres del Paine Picnic
Inside the Awasi Main Lodge
Torres del Paine Hotel: Awasi Patagonia Lodge
It should be noted that Awasi is part of a small, high-end, boutique chain of luxury lodges in Chile. In particular, their focus is to provide high-end accommodation along with a private driver/guide and vehicle dedicated to the occupants of each room. In short, this means you get private attention when staying at their lodges.
However, in their Patagonia, Torres del Paine lodge, they do not have any spa or indoor pool.
Another key point is that The Awasi lodge comprises a number of individual cabins (or villas) built, fitted and decorated to luxury-level standards.
Individual Private Suites
In particular, each cabin is positioned on a hill side with views down and over to the eastern side of the Torres del Paine Massif, with views to the Towers of the Park. The large, king-sized beds face towards the windows. In addition, the suite rooms are very spacious with luxury level en-suite bathrooms. And, above all guests at Awasi can eat in their private cabins or in the dining room in the main lodge reception area where there is also a “high-end” lounge, library and general relaxing area.

View from Explora Lodge Restaurant
Explora Pool and Spa
The View Out of Your Room
Torres del Paine Hotel: Explora Salto Chico Lodge
It should be noted that The Explora Salto Chico lodge is where, in Chile at least, the concept of an “all-inclusive” vacation experience began. After that, once Explora set the marker the others followed. Markedly, here at the Torres del Paine Salto Chico lodge the view from the Cordillera del Paine rooms is enviable and exceptional.
In addition, there is a fine spa and indoor elongated pool. Also, food, guides and excursions are excellent. Equally important is that in terms of location, the Explora Patagonia Salto Chico hotel has the prime slice of real estate, right in the middle of the Park.
Stunning View and Central Location
Notably, this is a privileged position that offers you a stunning view to the main Torres del Paine central massif and its “cuernos”, at close quarters, directly out of your bedroom window.
Unquestionably, one benefit of the Explora location is that it is also has closer access to the middle sector of the Park’s W Trek trail head. In addition, due to the central location of the hotel, there are often good opportunities to see local wildlife. When you are not participating in any of the many activities you can also take advantage of the hotel’s luxury spa and restaurant.
OFFER:
Above all, we run an offer should we book this lodge for you, which is that we will include one of the following, based upon a min 4-night, all-inclusive stay:
- Return flights from / to Santiago
- Private transfer to somewhere like El Calafate

Standard Room at Tierra Lodge
Tierra Lodge Exterior
Dining Room at Tierra
Torres del Paine Hotel: Tierra Patagonia Lodge & Spa
Compared to the rest, Hotel Tierra Patagonia will take your breath away as soon as you enter through its front door. If there is one luxury lodge that has set the bar higher than the others, it has to be Tierra Patagonia. For example, not only is the architecture unique and intelligent, but the exterior is totally camouflaged into the surrounding landscape, yet the interior is vast and also cozy.
Incredible Views from Every Room
Particularly, it has amazing views out of the large windows in the guest rooms, a superb spa and indoor pool, great guides, food and excursions.
It should be noted that this stunning hotel is one of National Geographic’s ‘Unique Lodges of the World’, and its prime location allows you to explore Patagonia and Torres Del Paine with ease, as well as enjoy outstanding views across lake Sarmiento and to the Torres del Paine Massif as well as the famous “towers”. Therefore, we can recommend this hotel as absolutely one of the best.

Singular Guest Room
The Singular Puerto Natales Torres del Paine
Breakfast Bar at Singular
Torres del Paine Hotel: The Singular Patagonia
All things considered, The Singular hotel has set the bar for the most imaginative, and creative use of architecture combined with interior design. Surprisingly, here is what used to be a rundown sheep processing plant and shed is now a modern, New-York style restaurant, with modern, spacious guest rooms all offering wide, open views to the picturesque fiord outside.
Although their indoor pool is small, the spa is top end.
One of the Best Hotels in South America
Without giving too much away, Singular offers a “wow” sensation, has spacious rooms, each with a great view to the fiord and an exceptional restaurant. As a matter of fact, Experience Chile strongly suggests customers consider basing themselves here for their Torres del Paine itinerary. On the other hand, if staying here for an all-inclusive itinerary is not an option, let us build in at least one, or two nights here pre and / or post Torres del Paine.
OFFER:
Above all, we run an offer should we book this for you, which is that we will include one of the following, based upon a min 4-night, all-inclusive stay:

Remota Hotel Guest Room
The Remota Hotel Puerto Natales
Remota Main Lobby & Living Interior
Torres del Paine Hotel: Remota Patagonia Lodge
After the Explora Salto Chico was “born”, shortly after followed Remota, in Puerto Natales. Behind the Remota was the same team of architects who developed Explora. However, the design and interior are totally different to each other, but what is along the same lines is the innovative, fresh concept for a hotel.
Remota has vast interior spaces with incredibly high floor to roof glass sides (the side with the view to the fiord). Guest rooms are very spacious. In addition, there is a separate building that houses the indoor infinity pool, sauna and spa.
Top End Hotel with Reasonable Rates
Another key point about Remota is that it offers a high-end experience at a rate less than the other luxury lodges.
OFFER:
Above all, we run an offer should we book this for you, which is that we will include one of the following, based upon a min 4-night, all-inclusive stay:

Estancia Cerro Guido Guest Room
Cerro Guido Restaurant
Estancia Cerro Guido Living Room
Torres del Paine Hotel: Estancia Cerro Guido
An estancia is the South America name for a traditional horse, cattle or sheep ranch. Therefore, if you stay at such a place, you will often not be far from working farm animals such as sheep, horses and / or cows.
In other words, staying in an estancia is all part of the authentic Patagonian experience, and adds yet another dimension to your enjoyment of this part of the world. Our selected estancia partner for when you take a trip to Torres Del Paine is Estancia Cerro Guido and here you can choose from bed and breakfast options or all-inclusive packages with a minimum of four nights stay.
Unique Patagonian Opportunity
From our point of view Estancia Cerro Guido offer great level accommodation, wonderful food, nice guides and a perfect base from which to explore the sights of Torres del Paine.
OFFER:
Above all, we run an offer should we book this for you, which is that we will include one of the following, based upon a min 4-night, all-inclusive stay:

Torres del Paine Hotels: Featured Accommodation
Among the various accommodation alternatives in and around Torres del Paine we have determined that a few hotels only stand out way above “the rest” and therefore acredited selected properties to be among our featured hotels and suppliers.
These suppliers have been selected by us for one or more of their attributes such as: location, views, surroundings, comfort, professional service, “uniqueness”, food and / or overall good feeling that one gets from being there.

Torres del Paine Hotels
Hotels in the Torres del Paine area offer private rooms and en-suite, private bathrooms.
For many, this is a better option than staying in refugio dorm rooms with other people.
In this section we highlight the main Torres del Paine hotels.
Torres del Paine Hotels
All Options
Also, a Good Alternative to Refugios on the W trek Trail
Torres del Paine Hotels
In addition to the hotels mentioned on the actual W Trek trail (Hotel Las Torres and Hotel Lago Grey), there are other hotels in the park. These are: Hotel Rio Serrano, Hotel Paine, Kau Lodge. It should be said that there are also other hotels, however, at this stage we have not partnered with them because we have not inspected their services.
Our Inspections
Most important to Experience Chile is that for us to offer a property we must visit it and, ideally stay over for at least one night.
That being said, if you want a hotel not shown here, please, just ask and we will book it for you, if it is part of the itinerary we are creating for you.
The Advantage of Privacy
Refugios mean shared, dorm rooms and bathrooms. On the other hand, a hotel means a private room and en-suite bathroom. No matter where you stay, if you want to trek the W we can make it happen.
Rio Serrano Hotel
Rio Serrano Hotel
Right over on the western side of Torres del Paine, is the small every-growing village of Serrano (Villa Serrano). Even though the village is on the “other side” of the Serrano River, and therefore, technically outside the official Torres del Paine Park boundary line, it is still considered to be in Torres del Paine. However, those staying here will not need to pay, or show their park entry tickets until they pass through the Serrano Conaf entrance, which is not prior to entering into Serrano village.
Superb Views
Compared to the other hotels in Torres del Paine, Hotel Serrano is large as well as commercial. Having said that, it offers very spacious guest rooms and those on the river side get superb, uninterrupted views to the stunning Torres del Pain massif and its huge Cuernos (horns).
Food is reasonable, there is also an indoor pool and spa. In our opinion, Hotel Serrano is a good option for groups.
All Inclusive
In line with most of the higher-category hotels in the park, Hotel Serrano also offers an all-inclusive itinerary.

Hotel Paine Cabin
Hotel Paine
This hotel enjoys a privileged position on the banks of one of the bends of the Serrano River. It comprises two accommodation modules and a number of individual cabin units that house two adjacent cabins.
Authentic and Rustic Patagonia
Guest rooms are best described as being “rustic”, and along with that they offer a certain authentic, simple Patagonian charm. However, it is the cabins that offer great views to the Torres del Paine Massif, whereas the other guest rooms to not really much b the way of views.
All meals are taken in the main reception building where the evening meal is a generous buffet offering.
Experience Chile views Hotel Paine as an excellent, “lower cost” option among the hotel offerings in the Torres del Paine zone.

Kau Lodge
Kau Lodge
Also in the Serrano Village sector is the Kau Lodge. As you can see from the picture, the Kau Lodge is just that – a “lodge”, but a good level one. Good guest rooms offering nice views, cozy and friendly dining area and great food.
Boutique High End Lodge
In many respects, Kau Lodge is like a “mini” version of the high-end lodges such as Explora and Tierra, but without the pool and spa facilities.
Experience Chile feels that Kau Lodge is a great option for quality, all “all-inclusive”, trekking itinerary. Such an itinerary would include transport in and out of TDP, accommodation, all food and guided treks to parts or all of the W and / or other trekking trails.

Hotel Las Torres
Hotel Las Torres
Balanced against all the other hotels in Torres del Paine, Hotel Las Torres is the only one located at a trail head. In particular it is situated at the trail head that leads up to the iconic Torres Base (where the vertical towers are).
Right at the Torres Base Trail Head
Most important is that for those who wish to start their W Trek with a night at a hotel, or even be based at a hotel, then Hotel Las Torres is perfectly located.
In particular this hotel is, historically, a Patagonian estancia that has, over the years gone 100% into the hotel sector, although they still do have an estancia business too.
One consequence of the estancia is that they have horses and offer horse riding. Rooms are comfortable, however, there are no “panoramic” “spectacular” views out of any of the windows.
All Inclusive
More recently the hotel has entered into the all-inclusive product offering whereby guests can book itineraries that include transport in and out, accommodation, all meals and guided excursions, including the W trek. In addition, the restaurant offers good food.

Lago Grey Hotel
Lago Grey Hotel
Located over on the western end of the W trek trail, but not actually on the trail, is the Hotel Lago Grey. This hotel sits beside the southern lake edge of Grey Lake (Lago Grey). The standard rooms are spacious, but do not offer any particular views to anywhere and have small windows. However, the superior rooms from the second floor, although not as spacious as the standard rooms, are modern and offer unrestricted views to the lake and the glacier at the far end.
Incredible View from the Living Room Area
The restaurant is large and busy offers pretty good food. There is also a fine “living room” and bar area where guests can sit and look to the lake with its icebergs and the glacier at the end. Equally important to mention is that the hotel, for all its good points, is rather “commercial”. Particularly when the Navigation Grey boat passengers arrive or depart, there is a lot of human traffic around.
Navigation Grey
And, as just mentioned, this is the start and end point for the Navigation Grey boat. This navigation can be used as a sightseeing trip to see Glacier Grey close up and / or as a ferry to get to or from Refugio Grey, which is located at the end of the western arm of the W Trek trail.
Good Pre or Post W Trek Option
Experience Chile suggests that you consider this hotel pre or post your W Trek, or book with us an all-inclusive stay. However, as of yet Hotel Lago Grey does not include the W trek as part of its all-inclusive stay product. Nevertheless, Experience Chile can create a W Trek itinerary should you wish to be based at Hotel Grey, or consider a couple of nights here and then a couple of nights at Hotel Las Torres – and we will sort out all your logistics.

Hotel Pehoe
Hotel Pehoe
The Hotel Pehoe is located on a small island in Pehoe Lake, about 100 meters from the shore. From this island there is a spectacular, direct view, at close range, to the hugely impressive Cuernos of Paine. It should be noted that this view is available directly out of the restaurant windows. However, unfortunately the view is not to be observed from any of the guest rooms, bar one, which is a superior room in the first superior room block on the left as you come onto the island. Access to the island is by way of a narrow, pedestrian footbridge from the carpark on the shore.
Views
None of the other superior rooms, and none of the standard rooms offer any views of note.
Superior rooms are better than the standard rooms as the category would indicate. The standard rooms are situated around a small inner courtyard garden and none of these rooms has even a window.
Advantage
The main reason to stay at Hotel Pehoe is because it is the closest hotel to Pudeto, where the catamaran operates from to Paine Grande. However, the hotel does not operate a transfer service, therefore you will need to hike to 4 or so kilometers or have a company arrange you a transfer. Another option is to flag down a passing bus. In addition to the location the rooms rates are less than other hotels in the Park.

Torres del Paine Hotels:
Glamping Accommodation
What is “Glamping”?
In short, Glamping, is a form of camping with more comfort and amenities.
There are two places in the Torres del Paine area that come into this category, and these are below.
Camp in Style in a Fully Furnished Yurt
or an Eco Camp Dome
ECO Camp Exterior (Domes)
Interior ECO Camp Suite
ECO Camp Dining Room
Torres del Paine Hotels: Eco Camp “Glamping”
The Torres del Paine ECO Camp is all about being “Ecological with the environment”. For example, all bathroom waste is stored and recycled back into the ground. Also, the camp takes every precaution to leave the minimum carbon footprint.
Bedouin Tents
It should be noted that there are three categories of guest accommodation at ECO Camp. At the basic level is the standard dome. These are the smallest units, do not have any windows to speak of and depend on nearby communal bathroom facilities.
On the other hand, the next level up is the superior dome. Here there is more space, a “window” and a private bathroom.
Finally, at the top end is the suite dome. Here there is a lot of space, a log-burning stove and modern, en-suite bathroom. Notably, the interior of this suite is as one would imagine a Bedouin tent to be like.
Torres Base Trail Head
The ECO Camp specializes in all-inclusive programs that include some of the W Trek Trail. Notably, it is located at the trail head that leads up to the Torres Base in the eastern sector of the W trek.

Exterior Patagonia Camp (Yurts)
Interior Patagonia Camp (Yurt)
Patagonia Camp Restaurant
Torres del Paine Hotels: Patagonia Camp “Glamping”
Patagonia Camp is the only Yurt camp in the Torres del Paine area. Located technically just south of the official Torres del Paine border line, but, to all intents and purposes still in the Torres del Paine Park area, the yurts enjoy a privileged position on a hill side, in the woods, overlooking Lake Toro. It should be noted that from this position there is a spectacular, long distance, but still highly impressive view to the Torres del Paine massif as well as the lake in the foreground.
Luxury Yurts
Staged at varying levels on the shore of the lake, amid the trees and connected by board walks, there are varying categories of Yurt. However, each is adorned to a high standard of interior furnishings and an en-suite, small, but modern bathroom.
Some yurts have a deck and jacuzzi, others have a comfortable suite area. In addition to the individual Yurts there is a amin restaurant, also with great views to the lake and Torres del Paine massif, and a reception module where guides will explain what excursions they have planned for the day ahead.
All-Inclusive
In line with most of the high-end accommodation offering sin and around Torres del Paine, Patagonia Camp also runs an all-inclusive product whereby, transport in and out, accommodation, all food and guided excursions are included in the cost.
OFFER:
Above all, we run an offer should we book this for you, which is that we will include one of the following, based upon a min 4-night, all-inclusive stay:

Why Book your Torres del Paine Hotel Accommodation with Experience Chile?
Common Problems that People Encounter Doing it on Their Own
Often, when trying to book hotel accommodation on your own you will read various reviews on the internet and see the pictures. However, in many cases the reviews are not true, and the pictures can be fake, or edited to make a place look better than it is.
In addition, if you have a travel itinerary you will need to book certain dates in one hotel and the other dates in another hotel and so on. This process can take time and, when the dates you want are not available, it can have a knock-on effect to the rest of your itinerary.
Our Solutions
Here at ExperienceChile.org we work with reality and use our considerable experience and local knowledge to get the right hotel for your logistical needs, comfort requirements and, ideally, your budget.
All things considered we do all the work for you, that is our service.
In your itinerary, remember that we can also include once-in-a-lifetime experiences, such as ice hiking at glacier grey to whale watching and kayaking in Patagonia – no matter how specific your request is, we’re more than happy to help.
We cater to individual traveller’s, couples, small or large groups as well as VIPs and celebrities. If you want to get in on the action, fill out the contact form below so we can start organizing your trip!

Refugio & Serviced Camping Accommodation
What is a Refugio?
A refugio is the Chilean name for a rustic, mountain hut, or better described as a hostel, where travellers and backpackers from all over the world can stay in dorm-style rooms, with bunk beds. Consequently, the bathroom facilities are shared, but segregated and there are communal areas where you can relax and dine. Along the W Trek trail there are a number of hostels with rooms that hold between 6 to 8 people. Each refugio has a canteen-style dining room for dinner and breakfast (box lunch is supplied for lunch for the trek that day).
Mingle With Other Travellers in the Refugios
The W Trek Refugios and camping areas are the perfect option for those who want to meet fellow trekkers. As a result, you can bask in the community atmosphere and as well as remain close to nature. Moreover, if you are hiking the W Trek trail you will likely need to stay overnight in one or more Refugio’s. Each Refugio is positioned at a strategic point on the trail so that after a few hours of walking you will be able to stop, eat, rest and sleep for the night.
Torres del Paine Hotels:
W or Circuit Trek Camping Accommodation
Serviced Camping
Here at Experience Chile we only offer serviced camping options. In other words, if you want to bring your own tent, we are not the people for you. There are now three levels of camping. One is standard, one is superior, and one is premium. Effectively, the standard camping means a decent tent, pitched for you, but at ground level. The superior level camping is a good tent pitched on a platform, and the superior level camping is a higher quality tent pitched on a high-raised platform.
Equally important to mention is that as with the Refugios, when camping you take your meals inside the adjacent Refugio. Therefore, you will also be able to “mingle” with fellow travellers.
All Meals, Ground Mat and Sleeping Bag
It should be noted that we only offer serviced camping at locations along the W Trek trail. Furthermore, we will provide, in both categories, the tent already set up for you, a ground mat and sleeping bag as well as all meals.
Where are the Refugios and Camping Located?
Below, we detail the various W Trek and Circuit Trek accommodation options along the actual trail. Sector Torres Base offers Refugio Central and Premium Camping Central as well as Premium Camping Chileno. The Central, French Valley Sector offers Refugio Cuernos, Cabins Cuernos and Premium Camping Cuernos. After that, at Paine Grande, there is the Refugio Paine Grande and Standard Camping. Finally, at Grey there is Refugio Grey and Standard Camping Grey.
Furthermore, on the back country circuit trek, at Seron there is Premium Camping, at Dickson there is a Refugio and Standard Camping and at Los Perros there is Standard Camping.

Where are the hotels Located?
Question: To Stay Within Torres del Paine or Outside the Park?
Many people request reservations for hotels “within the Park”. They do this because they think that the “have” to be inside the Park and being “outside” is “no good”.
The Big Error Most People Make About Selecting a Torres del Paine Hotel
This idea that you have to be “inside the Park” to enjoy Torres del Paine is a total fallacy. Did you know that three of the four best accommodation options are located outside of the official Torres del Paine border line? As an illustration, Awasi and Tierra Patagonia luxury lodges, The Singular Luxury Hotel and Luxury Camping Patagonia Camp are ALL located OUTSIDE of the official Torres del Paine Park Boundary line. However, each of the lodges mentioned offer great views as well as tours and excursions to all the places of interest in and around the Park.
Further below (scroll down to the foot of this page) is our own, exclusive, Torres del Paine Hotel and Accommodation Map showing you the actual locations of where each hotel, luxury lodge or refugio is.
