Torres del Paine

Glamping Itineraries

Torres del Paine Glamping itineraries, involve an all-inclusive itinerary program in line with all the other all-inclusive itineraries on offer in and around Torres del Paine National Park. This is to say that transfers in and out, accommodation, guided excursions and all meals are included. For Torres del Paine there are two glamping options. One is at Patagonia Camp and the other is at Eco Camp. Below, we will lead you to each as well as give a brief description.

One point of note is that Experience Chile is pleased to offer any of our clients extra, free, or reduced-price services when we book either ECO Camp or Patagonia camp for a minimum of 3 nights, 2 people, under an all-inclusive program.

Glamping Itineraries

Introduction to Torres del Paine Glamping Itineraries

What does “Glamping” mean?

The term derives from a level of camping that is almost at the level of a hotel stay. This is to say that glamping is NOT overnighting in a traditional tent, no, but it is sleeping under, if not canvass, then a material akin to canvas. However, in addition, there is stand up space, a real bed, nice furniture in the “room”, and often other amenities such as a deck, maybe a jacuzzi and so on. Today, there are many people who like the idea of “being close” to nature, which, usually, is what glamping can offer, but also wanting some of the “home comforts” that come with staying in a hotel room, such as, for example, an en-suite bathroom.

Torres del Paine Glamping Itineraries

There are two upmarket camping places that come within the category of “Glamping”. One is located at the trail head that leads up to the Torres Base, and the other is located by the Toro Lake just outside the southern Serrano entrance into Torres del Paine. Here below we summarize what each offers.

Torres del Paine Glamping Itineraries

Luxury Camping or “Glamping”

Currently, there are two accommodation options in the Torres del Paine area that can be classified as luxury camping, or better known as “glamping”. Each one is very different to the other. In addition, each option is located in a very different part of Torres del Paine.

Cost

As with the other options on this page, there are too many cost variables to publish here. Therefore, as a guide, consider around USD3,500 per person as a start for an all-inclusive, 4 nights, itinerary at either.

Also, in line with the other all-inclusive itineraries, you will get included in the cost:

  • Shared, transport from and back to Puerto Natales, or Punta Arenas or the Cerro Castillo Border Crossing.
  • CONAF Park entry tickets.
  • Tickets for the Catamaran between Paine Grande and Pudeto.
  • Accommodation in private units (a Yurt or a Dome) with en-suite bathrooms (at ECO Camp, only ensuite in superior and suite domes).
  • All meals with wine.
  • Escorted excursions with educated guides, INCLUDING all, or parts of the W Trek.
  • Activities such as, kayak, ice hiking (sometimes charged as extras).

ECO Camp

The location of ECo Camp is by the trail head that leads up to the Torres Base, in the eastern sector of Torres del Paine, very close to the welcome sector as well as close to refugios Central and Norte. Also, not far away is the Hotel Las Torres. ECO Camp comprises a number of dome-shaped units.

Patagonia Camp

On the other hand, Patagonia Camp is located only 84km from Puerto Natales, just off the main road that leads into the south-western entrance to Torres del Paine – called Serrano entrance. Accommodation at Patagonia Camp is comprised of Yurt tents of varying sizes. The complex is on a hill side facing the Lago del Toro lake, w to the central Massif of Torres del Paine National Park in the distance.

Options Include Parts of the W Trek

Together with the other all-inclusive programs we are offering, the options below will allow clients will be able to select what they want to do each day from an “activity” menu supplied by the lodge, hotel or estancia. Included in these options there will be chances to trek part of the W Trek if you so wish but accompanied by an educated guide.

What ExperienceChile.Org says about

Glamping Itineraries

The Torres del Paine Glamping Itineraries are not to everyone’s taste. Also, they are not necessarily “totally in luxury”. Also, one option, Patagonia Camp, offers a higher degree of comfort than the other option, ECO Camp. However, ECO Camp is located at the trail head that leads up to the Torres Base, whereas Patagonia Camp is located on its own, about 5kms south from the southern entrance into Torres del Paine, but has great views.

The key here is to decide if you like “upmarket” camping. If the answer is “no”, then forget about these two options. On the other hand, if you like to be based in a “more natural” setting, in the woods, for example, by a lake (Patagonia Camp), or want to keep you carbon footprint down to a minimum (Eco Camp), then do consider these options.
