Torres del Paine
Circuit Trek 7 Nights
Self-Guided Itinerary
The Torres del Paine Circuit Trek 7 nights self-guided itinerary is one of the great hikes of the World. Specifically, the Circuit trek will allow hikers to enjoy a less busy hiking experience along the back country of Torres del Paine. It should be noted that the hike is more challenging than the W Trek, particularly the steep and exposed terrain from Los Perros through the John Garner pass. However, the views are spectacular on a clear day.
Experience Chile is pelased to offer you the traditional Torres del Paine Circuit trek 7-night itinerary, with options to extend the number of nights as you wish.
In addition, our itinerary below will include two nights in Puerto Natales, one pre and post the trek. Naturally, if you wish to chnage this, no problem, just let us know.
Torres del Paine Circuit Trek 7 or 8 Nights
Self-Guided
Introduction to Torres del Paine Circuit Trek 7 Nights Itinerary
Most important to say is that unlike the W Trek, the Torres del Paine Circuit trek 7 nights, can only be hiked in an anticlockwise direction. Consequently, the order of stop offs is:
Seron / Dickson / Perros / Grey / Paine Grande / Cuernos or Frances / Chileno or Central (option final night in hotel, and option to extend trek by one day and night too)
The trail is named the “O” circle, like the W is called the “W”, because the full circuit trail takes the form of a circle when looked down upon from above. Although, actually, this is ignoring the fact that it incorporates the W and, of course, the W, has a bit in the middle that is not part of any circle! Anyway, it is a continuous hiking trail that starts and ends at the same place, which is the Torres del Paine Welcome center in the east of the park.
Circuit Trek Itinerary
Further below you will find our Torres del Paine Circuit 7-night self-guided itinerary in more detail. Please remember that we can, of course, extend the number of nights and add anything else to it, such as kayak at Grey, Ice Hike on Grey glacier, end with a night in a hotel, and / or double up on nights at any refugio or camping.

What ExperienceChile.Org says about
Torres del Paine Circuit Trek 7 Nights Self-Guided Itinerary
If you are lucky enough to get to hike the Torres del Paine Circuit trek, you will have traversed one of the great trails in the World. This is an enjoyable hike through raw Patagonia, that opens up stunning views, including that of the Southern Ice Shelf, running down off the Southern Andes. The trail is, in parts “tricky”, especially the sector from Perros to the summit of the John Garner Pass. This is often covered in snow as well as having a bit if an incline. Consequently, the trek time from Perros to Grey is between 10 to 12hrs.
W Trek
Upon arriving at Grey the trek effectively joins the W trek trail, and you are hiking the W Trek.
Regarding Experience Chile, please consider that there are often several other arrangements involved in finalizing a viable itinerary. When this occurs, we can put our years of experience and contacts to work to secure a creative solution. Not to mention that it is usually best to have a professional, local expert to handle all you need – one company doing all the work for you.
